About us
The Remswelle initiative is an open citizens' movement from Winterbach for a standing wave on the Rems. Not a club so far, not a company – an idea that grows as long as people join in.
Who we are
The initiative was founded in Winterbach in September 2025. Since then it has been growing with everyone who joins in.
The Remswelle is not an idea from a desk. The people who started it stand on a board themselves – in the sea, on artificial waves, wherever there is one. We travel regularly to see what is going on at other waves: how spots and installations are made, how they are run, what the scene is riding right now and how style is developing – in the sea as much as on standing waves. That is not an excuse for travelling but part of the project: what we see at other waves flows in here – into the case studies, into the questions we ask of the technology and into what we want for Winterbach.

Make the idea your own
The Remswelle belongs to no one. Anyone who likes the idea should be able to carry it and help shape it – whether by registering as a supporter, with expertise in hydraulic engineering, law or club work, with contacts in the municipality and clubs, with photos, texts or time at the clean-up. What is missing is not the idea, but many people who make it their own. → Get involved
